With a growing business, HR Management, staff policies and guidelines was an area we have traditionally found very difficult to manage and allocate enough time towards. We introduced Oriwave, a service, which I think, is the next frontier in HR management.
The implementation of Oriwave into ENL’s intranet has been extremely well received by all staff and managers. The major benefits with the introduction have been:
- Clarity of our HR policies and guidelines for all staff.
- The “Management tool kit” is a fantastic aid for managers. There are some very useful prompts and reminders to improve manager’s decision making around HR issues.
- The regular updates to ENL’s intranet via Oriwave ensure ENL’s policies are current with the ever-changing legal obligations of managing staff. This has been a significant time saver for senior managers and provides both certainty and clarity for both managers and staff.
- Staff have found the “Guideline” prompt very useful to understand the rationale behind policies. In addition, forms are completed accurately, which has saved a great deal of time.
- We have seen a significant improvement in the area of “Professional development, Performance appraisal & handling discipline” by Managers. I recommend some Manager training be included with the introduction of the Oriwave intranet to get some early benefits from this important area of maximising performance from staff.
The implementation of Oriwave into ENL’s intranet was completed within a day and has worked seamlessly since the introduction.
